#230 Listening to Win

This leading horse caught me because
of what first appeared to me...
                  as the goofy position of his ears!
                  Not flattened to his head, but askew,
then I realized one ear was listening...
listening to the horses coming up from behind

and... one ear was listening to his jockey.
                                                 Hence the painting's name.
